Transportation of grain to the ports of the Black, Mediterranean and North seas

Dry bulk and general cargo transportation

During the navigation season on inland water ways of Russia grain is delivered from the ports on the Volga river to the foreign ports of the Black, Mediterranean and North seas.

Grain is transported round-the-year from Rostov-on-Don, Azov, Temryuk, Taganrog and Yeisk to the ports of Turkey, Greece, Italy and Egypt.

Grain is delivered from elevators near the ports of Rostov-on-Don, Azov, Temryuk, Taganrog and Yeisk to the offshore facilities of port Kavkaz for transshipment onto sea going vessels.

Involved are vessels of the Neva-Leader, Volzhsky, Valday, Rusich and Sormosky designs. Annual volume of shipments is about 2 million tonnes.

NWSC performs grain shipments under the contracts with Glencore Agriculture, Aston, Olam, Cargill and Bunge.
