North-Western Shipping Company delivered oversized equipment for oil and gas industry

On August 18th, 2014 North-Western Shipping Company and Volgo-Baltic Logistic, subsidiary of NWSC, finished oversized equipment delivery for liquid chemistry production for the petrochemical complex enterprises of the Republic of Bashkortostan.

Total weight of the equipment made nearly 2000 tons.

For difficult transportation of project freights from the European ports to Ufa the specialists of Volga-Baltic Logistic, LLC developed the optimal logistic scheme of equipment delivery down the river Danube and along internal waterways of the Russian Federation taking into account the difficult situation with navigation providing caused by insufficiency of depths during the navigation period. Elaboration of the scheme included difficult engineering calculations and development of several projects of transportation, placement and fastening, and also oversized and heavy equipment unloading by crane and by Ro-Ro. The specialists of VBL, LLC organized transfer of reactor equipment on berths of the manufacturer from Germany to barges on the Danube river, and also in ports of freights consolidation - in Belgium, Romania and on the Kama River to the vessels of NWSC JSC.

«River – sea» type ships of North-Western Shipping Company participated in delivery of the equipment during the period from May to August.
