Born in 1960, in Leningrad.

Education: Leningrad Pedagogical Institute, specialization – ‘Physics Teacher’; Saint-Petersburg University of Interior Ministry, specialization – ‘Law’.

Working career began in 1980 - apprentice lathe operator at Leningrad Metal Plant. The same year joined internal affairs authority on Komsomol assignment.

Over the 14-year period of service in Kalininsky District Office of Internal Affairs worked his way up from inspector to the Head of Local Militia Office.

Between 1994 and 2000 – Deputy Head and Head of the Anti Corruption Branch of the Main Department of Internal Affairs in Saint-Petersburg and the Leningrad Region.

In 2000 – appointed as Head of Economic Crime Department in the North-West Directorate for Internal Affairs in Transport.

In 2008 - retired from service as a Colonel, having served for internal affairs authorities for 28 years.

Between 2008 and 2009 – Advisor to the Chairman of the Board of Directors, North-Western Shipping Company.

Between 2009 and 2014 – Advisor to General Director of FSUE Rosmorport.

From September 2014 – Director, Economic Security, North-Western Shipping Company.

Honored Representative of Internal Affairs Authorities of the Russian Federation.
