The HSE policy regarding safe operation of vessels and preventing pollution is based on implementation of international and national standards and is aimed at securing safety at sea and on inland waterways, prevention of accidents, protection of healthy environment.
The aim of the company is
ensuring safe vessel operation practice, environmental protection and maintenance of safe work conditions;
enhancing power efficiency of the fleet and reducing emission of greenhouse gases and pollutants in the atmosphere;
making assessment of all identification risks associated with operation of vessels and securing protection against them;
continuous improvement of safety control skills of the shore and ship personnel;
readiness for emergency situations connected with the operation of vessels;
continuous improvement of the company’s showing by results of inspection of vessels for all applicable Memorandums — Port State Control, Flag State Control.
The implementation of the company’s policy is secured by introduction and permanent improvement of HSE system efficiently functioning in the company, that meets the requirements of International Safety Management Code (ISM Code).
All transportation is carried out in strict compliance with the requirements of international rules: international codes for the safe carriage of grain in bulk, timber deck cargoes, code of safe practice for cargo stowage and securing, etc; and in accordance with national rules and regulations pertaining to safe transportation of goods.
